CNC Miller (Setter/Operator)
CNC Miller (Setter/Operator)
£12 - £15 p/h
This successful and well-established engineering company in
Swindon is currently seeking 2 x CNC Millers to join their machine shop
production team.
Using materials such as aluminium and steels as well as a lot of exotic
materials such as titanium and Inconels for a variety of small batch work, you
will be using 3 and 5 axis machines to produce a range of different components.
The work is nice and varied and you will be using Fanuc and/or Heidenhain
controls.
Ideally, you will have completed an apprenticeship within an engineering
discipline. Experience within Formula 1, oil and gas or the aerospace industry
would be advantageous. If you have skills in manual milling and/or CMM quality
inspection, these could also be useful. No programming skills are required as the
vast majority of the work is programmed offline. There may be a small amount of
programming required, but this would only be for very simplistic components, so
complex programming skills are not required for this position.
Somebody who has a strong level of accuracy and precision with their work, who
is hardworking and able to work well under pressure is sought for this
position. If you are able to work overtime as and when required to ensure that
urgent jobs are completed in a timely manner, then that would put you in an
advantageous position as well.
This is a day shift position with a company that is renowned for being a stable
and generous employer in the Swindon area. They employ hardworking staff, but
reward them well and offer a strong degree of job security.
